Visiting Kimberly-Clark

Kimberly-Clark is an American personal corporation that produces paper products including tissue, diaper, medical related products. I visited the factory in California near CSUF as visitation that aimed knowing about American company. They proud of their products because of they can maintain their productivity and higher quality for long time. I will explain 2 point that I was impressed. 1^st is the automatic producing system. They have the vast factory, but there are 400 employees in their factory. I suppose that American companies have better automatic producing system than Japanese. They completely have logical and coherent methods in their organization. The only 400 employees profit efficiency, productivity and cost restriction that is possible lower prime cost. Moreover they have only 3 IT expertise for improving and developed their systems. They believe that lower employees provide lower prime cost and highly developed automatic systems increase productivity and reducing entire cost. 2^nd is the simple plant. Their factory is very simple for the purpose of cleanness and avoiding detective products that have clashed tissue and missed print. The detective products deserve the biggest problem in any company in their factory for the reason that decreasing the cost controlling effects reducing the profits. In consequence 2 points basically influence their original logic and organization. They can realize the sustainable development to maintain their profits.
